Boom Fantasy is a DFS platform that’s been turning lots of heads recently. My Boom Fantasy review is here to reveal why this is a fantasy sports site that gives you a fresh and simple way to play. My favorite thing about Boom Fantasy is just how easy it is to play here and the fact that you can win up to 500x your entry fee is never a bad thing either. When you combine all of that with a $100 welcome offer and availability in over 20 US states, you’ll see why this is the DFS platform to keep your eye on.

Sign up to Boom Fantasy for the first time and you’ll be given a welcome bonus that lets you have a no sweat first entry up to $100. This basically means that you can register a first account here, play anything from NBA to NHL DFS, have a total nightmare and get your entry fees back in bonus funds should you lose. Obviously, if you manage to win your first entry, you’ll get to pick up your winnings as normal.
It’s a deal that is a little different from other DFS promos that tend to give you credit in correspondence to how much you initially deposit, but I think that it’s perfect for anyone new to the fantasy sports phenomenon.
You can probably go from reading my Boom Fantasy reviews to entering your first contest in just a few minutes. Here are the steps you need to take to register your first account with the brand:
Once all of this is done, you can simply log into your Boom Fantasy account, make a deposit and then start playing.
I found that everything about the Boom Fantasy product was professional, well-designed and user-friendly. This should be a given at a DFS platform, but you’d be surprised how many brands make things unnecessarily complex.
Thankfully, you can go to the Boom Fantasy site and get clear explanations of all of the game rules along with guidelines about how things like scoring works. Plus everything is made efficient whether it is doing something like registering your account or even just withdrawing your winnings.
While it might have been nice to be able to play the DFS contests on the actual Boom Fantasy site, it turned out to be no problem playing from the app. So whether you’re looking to perfect your college football DFS strategy or just want to play some fantasy basketball, you’ll find easy ways to do it all at Boom Fantasy.
Boom Fantasy was actually launched as a DFS app all the way back in 2016. The app was released by a Stanford-based team of industry experts who have their backgrounds in places as varied as MGM Resorts International, High 5 Games and Google. Since it launched, Boom Fantasy has picked up thousands of customers, and has earned a solid reputation for being one of the speediest fantasy sports products around.
When carrying out these Boom Fantasy reviews, I thought that it was only fair to see what other players think about this brand. So I was pleased to see that Boom Fantasy had a score of 4.6 out of 5 on the Apple Store and this dipped down to just 4.2 out of five on the Google Play store. Most people commended Boom Fantasy for its ease of use, and the only negative reviews seemed to be from people who didn’t really understand what fantasy sports is all about.
The basic impression that I got when writing these Boom Fantasy reviews was that this is a brand who makes fantasy sports as easy as possible. You don’t have to wait months or even days to figure out if you’ve won, but can instead win in just a few minutes. From figuring out whether that field goal will be scored to who will score the most points in an NBA quarter, it certainly makes things a lot more enjoyable.
Boom Fantasy has created a very user-friendly app which is where you play the actual DFS contests. This app is available for iOS and Android devices and it packs in all of the tournaments into the palm of your hand. While simple ways to swipe between the contests, review and submit your entries, and even follow your picks via live tracking, it is a great example of a modern fantasy sports app.
One of the highlights of my Boom Fantasy reviews was the fact that the brand accepts payments via PayPal – my preferred payment provider. Beyond this, you’ll see that you can deposit with most other credit and debit card brands like Visa, Discover, Mastercard and American Express.
Once you have made some wins from anything from hockey to virtual football betting, you can make a withdrawal from upwards of $10 at a time. My Boom Fantasy reviews found that most withdrawals will be back in your account anywhere up to five to seven days after the request was made.
I found that the easiest way to get in touch with the Boom Fantasy customer care team was to simply send an email. This offered me a pretty fast response, although it’s worth noting that the brand is also available via its social media channels on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X (formerly Twitter). There is also a pretty good FAQ on the brand’s website that has a range of answers to the most common questions.
There’s no point in picking up a Boom Fantasy promo code unless you know that it’s a site that you can trust. So the good news here is that this is a DFS provider that abides by all of the rules and regulations of the states that it operates in.
This is backed up by the fact that the brand has a site with all of the required encryption to make sure that your personal data and deposits stay safe. You’ll also see the privacy policy on the Boom Fantasy site, and there’s a lengthy terms and conditions page that details how the site operates and what you are allowed to do on it.
Boom Fantasy is very transparent about the US states that it operates in. You can see a map on the brand’s homepage that shows where you can play, but here’s the list of the Boom Fantasy legal states:
My Boom Fantasy reviews found a decent range of special offers for existing customers. While there isn’t a reward program at the moment, you can enjoy using the following deals:
My Boom Fantasy reviews found that this is a fantasy sports provider with a difference. After all, it features two main game modes where you have to make a prediction on certain player statistics. Here are how to game modes work:
I should note that you can try these game modes for a fair range of sports although you cannot currently enjoy DFS MMA here. Here is a quick list of what’s available at the moment:
The cool news is that Boom Fantasy has recently added no less than three more game modes to its roster. Check them out here:
I was pretty surprised to see that you can win anywhere up to 500x your entry fee at Boom Fantasy. You can only do this by playing the new Pick and Spin where you just have to make two picks, spin the wheel and then hope that the big cash prize is coming your way.
Interestingly, there is nothing in the Boom Fantasy terms and conditions to say that there is a limit on how much you can win. However, judging from the brand’s website, it looks like certain players have managed to walk away with prizes in excess of $40,000. This is on par with what you can find of similar DFS platforms and it should give you yet another reason to play.
Lots of rival DFS brands tend to go a little overboard by getting a bit too social with their products. While it’s fun being able to play against friends, there comes a time when you don’t want dozens of notifications every time that someone else makes a prediction.
This is probably why Boom Fantasy has made sure that its app is stripped back to the minimum to give you a streamlined way to play. While you can still take part against friends in a variety of leaderboard contests, it doesn’t feel like you’re entering a popularity contest every time that you play. This definitely helped to make my Boom Fantasy reviews a little less grating compared to some rival fantasy sports platforms.
I think that Boom Fantasy is definitely worth a look for anyone with an interest in fantasy sports. It keeps things relatively simple with its over/under and matchups contests, although it’s shown a few more innovative touches with some of the new game modes.
Plus the ability to win up to 500x your entry fee means that you will have a little extra fun when making your predictions. My only criticisms here are that there could be more featured sports, and some of the contests may feel a little lightweight compared to what you can get elsewhere. But on the whole, it’s an impressive performance from Boom Fantasy and so I’d definitely recommend that you give this DFS platform a try.
You’ll have to be at least 18 years old in most states, but this age limit rises to 19 years in Nebraska and 21 years in Massachusetts.
Not at all. Once you’ve made your entry into one of Boom Fantasy’s contests, you’ll have to stick with it.
No, you cannot currently play at Boom Fantasy in New York. However, you can play here in over 20 other states.
I think that Boom Fantasy offers a refreshing alternative to the standard way of playing fantasy sport. It’s certainly much faster than some of those heavyweight brands, and no less fun. Plus you’ll find that Boom Fantasy is legal, safe and more than capable of serving up some impressive prize pools.
If I was being critical, I’d say that it would be nice to have a few more sports featured, but there’s enough here for most sports fans. So be sure to give Boom Fantasy a try if you’re looking to play DFS with a difference.
